BMI Songwriter Tommy Roe Celebrated for Two Million Plays

Broadcast Music, Inc. hosted a celebration of the legendary Tommy Roe in honor of his two million plays of the songs “Dizzy” and “Shelia.” Roe signed with BMI in 1962 with the help of beloved BMI executive Frances Preston, and has been a songwriting force ever since. He has 23 Billboard Top 100 singles and his latest album, Devil’s Soul Pile, is out now.
