What’s the name of the first song you ever wrote?
“Que bonito!” I wrote it a long time ago, it was my first song….I still love it.

If you could only name one favorite songwriter, who would that be?
Jose Alfredo Jimenez

Use just one word to describe your own songwriting style:
Honesty.

What’s the one thing you can’t go to Austin without?
Glitter and eye contacts…I’m super blind but I need to glow — ha ha ha!

Who do you most want to hear at SXSW?
All the bands, all the people, all the laughter and music around! I’m excited!

What’s your favorite venue to play?
Any venue with good sound system and good crowd is good to play!

What YouTube clip best represents you?
I would say my video “Compartir” for now.

Name five songs you wish you’d written…
1) “La cigarra” – Bimexicano
2) “Brindo” – Devendra Banhart
3) “Cielo Rojo” – Bimexicano
4) “Amor eterno” – Rocio Durcal
5) “Luna” – Ana Gabriel

If you had to compose only one Tweet of advice for bands trekking to SXSW, what would it be?
Just do it! just go! Don’t think about it! Go with your heart on it and go get SXSW!
