BMI Writers Set the Bar High at 2015 ACL Fest

24 bands will hit the BMI-sponsored stage and raise the bar for all the performances at the 2015 Austin City Limits Music Festival. Held over two weekends in Austin, TX, October 2-4 and October 9-11, the festival will take place in the famed Zilker Park and BMI’s stage will kick off the music marathon each day.

The first weekend will feature 12 acts, including Americana rock band Sons of Bill, R&B singer-songwriter Kehlani, BMI’s Road to Bonnaroo 2015 winner and groovy rock band Sol Cat and Rolling Stone’s CMA Fest can’t-miss country powerhouse duo, Muddy Magnolias.

Weekend two will showcase funky-soul band DeRobert & The Half-Truths, high-energy gospel-sounding Spirit Family Reunion, folk-country-pop pair Mandolin Orange, and summer’s breakout Canadian pop star Alessia Cara, along with 8 others.

Now in its thirteenth year, the BMI stage at ACL is known for bringing ready-to-break acts to perform alongside established BMI heavy hitters such as Hozier, Sturgill Simpson and Alabama Shakes. BMI stage veterans like Beat Connection, Cherub and Houndmouth will be returning to ACL’s main stages this year.
