BMI Writers Take 60% of O2 Silver Clef Awards

Posted in News on July 17, 2013

Barry Gibb, Labrinth, Ray Davies, Alison Moyet, Jessie Ware and One Direction were all big winners at the Nordoff Robbins O2 Silver Clef Awards held Friday, June 28, 2013, at the Hilton Park Lane in London. The annual awards serve as an opportunity for Nordoff Robbins, the UK’s leading provider of music therapy services, to recognize outstanding talent across the industry and support those who, since 1976, have helped the organization raise more than £8 million in order to continue their important work in care homes, hospitals, schools and other centers.

The event was proudly attended by Broadcast Music, Inc. President and CEO, Del Bryant, and BMI’s Executive Director Writer/Publisher Relations, Europe and Asia, Brandon Bakshi, as a way to pay tribute to the value of songwriters and the healing power of music throughout the world.
