BMI’s Alison Smith Honored at Fourth Annual Production Music Association Conference
Academy Award-winning film composer Mychael Danna provided exceptional keynote address
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Production Music Association (PMA) completed its fourth annual Production Music Conference (Oct. 4-6) at the Loews Hollywood Hotel in California. The highly-anticipated conference, which hosted informative panels, one-on-one sessions and an extensive line-up of industry executives, as well as singers, songwriters and publishers, also presented the Mark Awards, recognizing outstanding contributions to the industry. Among the coveted trophies, the prestigious Ambassador Award was given to BMI’s Executive Vice President of Distribution, Publisher Relations & Administration Services, Alison Smith.
In addition to Smith’s honor, which she proudly received via video, BMI was also well represented at the conference when Academy Award and BMI Richard Kirk Award-winning film composer Mychael Danna gave an impressive keynote address and several BMI team members fielded questions for interested attendees.
