BMI’s Chris Janson Celebrates 5th No. 1 With Music Industry
BMI’s Chris Janson celebrated the success behind his fifth No. 1 single, “All I Need Is You,” on June 25 as the music industry gathered at BMI’s Nashville office. Produced by Julian Raymond and co-written by Janson, Brad Clawson (BMI), Ashley Gorley (ASCAP), and Mitch Oglesby (ASCAP), the song serves as the lead single from Janson’s album, The Outlaw Side Of Me. Serving as his Big Machine Label Group debut single, “All I Need Is You,” is followed by the release of his latest single, “Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get,” which is currently in the Top 30 and is the first release on the recently re-named Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment imprint.
Hosted by BMI and ASCAP and emceed by BMI’s Clay Bradley, the gathering included remarks from the songwriters, producers, publishers, and label teams to commemorate the song’s success. During Janson’s appreciative remarks, he invited members of his radio promotion team to join him on stage to present them each with a gift. Sponsored by Studio Bank, the evening concluded with a special donation presentation made by Ron Cox on behalf of Janson and the songwriters in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
