BMI’s Jason Aldean Celebrates No. One Hit “Try That in a Small Town”
BMI artist Jason Aldean celebrated his 28th career chart-topping single, “Try That in a Small Town,” last Wednesday during his recent No. One party at Nashville’s The Eighth Room. He reunited with his longtime producer, Michael Knox (BMI), along with the hit’s songwriters Tully Kennedy (BMI), Kurt Allison, Kelley Lovelace, and Neil Thrasher, and the track was highlighted as Aldean’s first Billboard Hot 100 No. One. Hosted by BMI and ASCAP, the event was sponsored by Studio Bank, where Ron Cox made a special donation presentation on behalf of Aldean and the songwriters in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which provides advance cures and means of prevention for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment.
