BMI’s Next Big Wave Mixer Connects Emerging Songwriters on Music Row

The next generation of BMI songwriters flooded the halls of BMI’s Nashville office on Tuesday, August 6, for the latest edition of the PRO’s Next Big Wave networking series, sponsored by Studio Bank, ONErpm, and Curious Elixirs. Over 70 emerging songwriters had the opportunity to build relationships with fellow creatives seeking first-time publishing deals.

BMI’s Leslie Roberts kicked off the evening before introducing Next Big Wave alum Mary Kutter, who has penned Bailey Zimmerman’s “Never Leave,” Nate Smith’s “Wreckage,” Alexandra Kay’s “That’s What Love Is,” and more. Attendees could speak with Kutter and BMI’s Nashville Creative team about navigating the music industry with BMI’s support. Past notable participants include HARDY, Jon Langston, Michael Ray, Mikey Reaves, Rocky Block, and many more.
