BMI’s Next Big Wave Mixer Helps Foster Young Industry Relationships
BMI hosted a special edition of its Next Big Wave mixer on Tuesday, March 19, by welcoming the next generation of Music Row industry leaders and emerging creatives to the lobby of BMI’s Nashville office. Held in partnership with the young professionals networking group, The Catch Up, and sponsored by Studio Bank and ONErpm, the mixer offered over 150 rising industry leaders a chance to build new relationships. Hosted by BMI’s Leslie Roberts and The Catch Up’s Michaela Baker and Claire Karliak, the evening kicked off with words of encouragement for attendees and introduced the evening’s sponsors. BMI Nashville’s Creative team and The Catch Up founders were on site connecting individuals and promoting budding relationships within the community. The Next Big Wave series offers unsigned songwriters important guidance while seeking a first-time publishing deal. The next invitation-only event for the quarterly series will be held in April with a focus on Pop and R&B songwriters.
