BMI hosted its signature Rooftop On The Row series, presented by George Dickel, on July 16, featuring Columbia Records/SAWGOD artist Ella Langley and Warner Music Nashville artist Redferrin. Now in its sixth season, the jam-packed showcase offered a panoramic view of the Nashville skyline as industry professionals connected with country music’s prominent artists to watch. Guests were treated to free food and beverages provided by the night’s sponsors Delta Air Lines, Gallagher Insurance, ONErpm, Red Bull Jukebox, Texas Roadhouse, Topo Chico, White Claw, and YETI.

Langley kicked off the evening by sharing her unfiltered stories mixed with a rock ‘n’ roll grit and pop appeal. She launched into “paint the town blue” followed by two unreleased tracks, “better be tough” and “cowgirl don’t cry,” which are featured on her debut album, hungover, available August 2. Standout moments included Langley’s solo rendition of her viral hit “you look like you love me” and a surprise appearance from Kameron Marlowe for their current single “Strangers.”

Redferrin closed the night with an innovative set that blended traditional country elements with modern influences. The Tennessee native performed songs off his debut EP, Old No.7, such as “Lose Her For Nothin’,” “Champagne In The Morning,” and “Just Like Johnny,” which has already garnered 30 million streams. He also teased the crowd with a string of unreleased songs, including “As Long As There’s A Bar.” DJ Smoke kept the momentum up between each set, as BMI’s Mason Hunter served as emcee.

BMI’s Rooftop On The Row series returns on August 13 with headliners Josh Ross and Lauren Watkins. The final event on September 17 will serve as the official kickoff to AMERICANAFEST, with performers for the final show to be announced in the coming weeks. Over the years, the industry event has hosted artists such as Morgan Wallen, Billy Strings, The War And Treaty, HARDY, K. Michelle, Riley Green, Maddie & Tae, Mackenzie Carpenter, and Dylan Marlowe.
