BMI’s Rooftop on the Row Series Launches Fifth Season with Nashville Debut of R&B and Country Singer/Songwriter K. Michelle

BMI’s Rooftop On The Row series kicked off its fifth season on April 11 with a genre-blending performance by singer/songwriter K. Michelle. Presented by George Dickel Bourbon, the event was emceed by BMI Nashville’s Executive Director, Creative, Shannon Sanders as industry tastemakers attended the invite-only event known to offer an exclusive first look at BMI’s notable rising talent.

During the first of the five-concert series, K. Michelle made her Nashville performance debut that offered the crowd a sultry rendition of her catalog including “Come As You Are” and “Jack Daniels,” while expanding on her new country sound. K. Michelle is currently putting the final touches on her forthcoming album due later this year, and fans can find her on the road now with her I’m The Problem Tour.

Rooftop on the Row returns May 16 with headliners Priscilla Block and Chayce Beckham, followed by Mackenzie Carpenter and Dylan Marlowe on July 18. A celebration for the 50th anniversary of hip-hop is set for August 15, and the September 19 finale will serve as the official kickoff to Americanafest. Performers for the final two shows will be announced soon.
