While BMI’s incredible affiliates were honored at the 59th annual Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards, BMI’s Executive Director of Creative, Nashville, Shannon Sanders, was also celebrated for his impactful contributions to country music.

On May 14, Sanders joined the inaugural honoree class at the “I’m Just Me: A Charley Pride Celebration of Inclusion” brunch, hosted by Amazon MGM Studios, Amazon Music, the Academy of Country Music, and Dick Clark Productions. The commemorative event, held in Frisco, Texas, recognized those in the industry who reflect Pride’s notable legacy as diverse, innovative leaders and advocates within the genre.

Sanders is one of 16 to receive this honor and was joined by Pride’s widow Rozene and son Dion, as well as BMI affiliates BRELAND, Tiera Kennedy, The War And Treaty, Wendy Moten, and other industry players.

Congratulations, Shannon!
