BMI staged its annual “Coffee Talk” panel at the Los Angeles Film Festival on Sunday, June 17. The in-depth discussion was moderated by Doreen Ringer Ross, Vice President, Film/TV Relations for BMI, and featured composers Rolfe Kent (Up in the Air, Sideways, Mean Girls), Michael Penn (Skateland, Sunshine Cleaning, Boogie Nights), and Cliff Martinez (Contagion, Drive, Traffic), who offered advice and insight into their awards-generating composing processes and unique paths to success.
