Posted in News on July 1, 2013

Richard Conlon, Broadcast Music, Inc. Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy, Communications and New Media was among the elite group of international guests invited to speak at this year’s Trigger Creative Conference, which took place on June 27 and 28, in Borlange, Dalarna, Sweden. On day two of Sweden’s leading innovative gathering for the music industry, Conlon delivered the keynote speech, “The Amazing Roxette Story,” focusing on the incredible 2012 revival of the BMI-affiliated ‘90s Swedish pop sensation.

The 2013 theme for Trigger Creative Conference was “Enforcing the Artist’s Ecosystem.” Participants gathered to share fresh and constructive thinking through panel discussions, debates and new working methods on how to help the future of the industry. The Conference was part of BoomTown, a project to support and strengthen the music industry in the region of Dalarna.

Immediately following his keynote speech on June 28, Conlon also participated in the panel “Current and Future Revenue Streams,” moderated by Elisabet Widlund, CEO of Sweden’s Musiksverige. Other panelists included Bjørn-Roger Reinfjell, Strategy and Insight Manager at EMI (Norway); Ulrika Holmberg of Musichelp (Sweden); Daniel Olsson of Peace & Love Film Festival (Sweden) and Drew Young, Artist in Residence at the University of Southern Mississippi (United States).

This year’s full program is available on the Trigger Creative Conference website.
