BMI songwriter and Thirty Tigers recording artist Bonnie Bishop was the featured performer at the Massachusetts Broadcasters Association’s annual Sound Bites Awards Dinner held recently (11/16) at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel & Conference Center, a longtime BMI licensee. Radio and TV executives from across the state gathered to recognize those that achieved excellence in their field while being treated to an inspired performance by Bishop, who performed a number of songs from her recently released album Ain’t Who I Was. The album was produced by Dave Cobb, who also produced Chris Stapleton and Jason Isbell’s most recent efforts. Bishop is best known for writing one of the key songs on Bonnie Raitt’s GRAMMY award-winning album Slipstream.
