Broadway Tribute to Legendary BMI Writers Leiber and Stoller Opens in D.C.

Smokey Joe’s Café – The Songs of Leiber and Stoller, which originally opened on Broadway in 1995 and became the longest-running musical revue, is now transporting audiences to the golden age of rock, rhythm and blues at Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater in Washington, D.C. Director Randy Johnson helms this GRAMMY-winning tribute to legendary songwriting duo Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, which is bursting with their hit tunes, including “Hound Dog,” “Jailhouse Rock,” “Stand by Me” “Love Potion #9” and “On Broadway.” Smokey Joe’s Café will run through June 8, 2014.
