Edward M. Cramer: 1925-2012

Former BMI President Edward M. Cramer passed at away at age 86 at his Englewood, NJ home on May 1. No cause of death has been given. Mr. Cramer was president of BMI from 1968 to 1986, during which time the company’s revenues rose from $26.6 million to more than $189 million, while royalty distributions to BMI’s songwriters, composers and music publishers increased from $21 million to $162 million.

Mr. Cramer is survived by his wife, Robin; children Evin, Margie and Corky; grandchildren Kane, Clay, Jake and Gabe; and great-grandchildren Logan, Hailey, Aiden and Evan.
