Award-winning BMI songwriter Randy Sharp participated in a presentation on music licensing that BMI made recently (12/7) at the California Craft Brewers Association Fall Conference, held at the Hyatt Regency Sonoma Wine Country in Santa Rosa. The 3-time GRAMMY award winner and native Californian thanked the audience of craft brewers from his home state for their support of songwriters through the BMI licensing fees they pay while sharing stories of his experiences writing songs for such country giants as the Dixie Chicks, Emmy Lou Harris and Alabama. Sharp finished up his presentation with an unplugged performance of one of the big hits he wrote for Restless Heart.

The CCBA is a non-profit trade association representing the craft and specialty brewing industry in California.
