The 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards are less than two weeks away and the dozens of BMI affiliates nominated are well positioned for a huge evening. Rapidly ascendant newcomers Macklemore & Ryan Lewis snagged an impressive seven nods, including  Album of the Year for The Heist, Song of the Year and Best New Artist, while the women of BMI’s country roster made a strong showing with crossover queen Taylor Swift and up-and-comer Kacey Musgraves each receiving four award nominations, including Album of the Year for Swift and Best New Artist for Musgraves. Dance sensations Daft Punk are also up for four awards, primarily for their smash summer hit “Get Lucky.”

Showcasing the diversity of our repertoire, BMI affiliates are up for awards in more than sixty categories, spanning from five nominees for Best Rock Performance to Zachary Richard’s nomination for Best Regional Roots Music Album and Justin Roberts’ nod for Best Children’s Album.
