For only three people, East Coast rock and rollers Highly Suspect sure make a lot of noise. What started as a casual cover band for childhood friends Johnny Stevens and Rich and Ryan Meyer quickly morphed into something much more when they discovered a knack for songwriting. More than six years after being featured in our Indie Spotlight, the New York trio have created and released a robust discography that has earned them an impressive three GRAMMY nominations and two RIAA gold singles (“Lydia” and “My Name is Human”). All three of their full-length records (Mister Asylum, The Boy Who Died Wolf, and MCID) have landed on the Billboard 200, and they released an acoustic single called “These Days” with Terrible Johnny earlier this year.
