Indie Spotlight: Elektrik People

Posted in News on January 30, 2014

With only two songs posted on iTunes and the likes of Katy Perry and OneRepublic already singing their praises, electronic pop group Elektrik People are on the verge of something big. The trio, based in Los Angeles, is comprised of Evan Robinson, Reid Curby and Svend Lerche, who all played together previously in the band War Stories. While War Stories’ brand of radio-friendly rock was catchy, the clever lyrics and lush beats of Elektrik People are downright infectious. Whether it’s “Make Me A Bird” and its 80s vibes, “I Love My Life”’s anthemic ode to youth and young money, or anything on their Soundcloud page, Elektrik People prove that lightening can indeed strike more than once in the same place.
