Indie Spotlight: Pebaluna
It’s obvious Lauren Coleman spent her childhood listening to Aretha Franklin in her parents’ car and her Sundays singing in a Las Vegas church choir. As an adult, she infuses Pebaluna, the band named after her lost dog, with soulful vocals reminiscent of the Motown era but also tinged with reggae, country, gospel, folk, and funk.
