For the 5th year in a row, BMI partnered with the Texas Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (TRAEF) to present their “Lone Star Bash,” the official opening party for the TRA Marketplace and TRAEF’s major annual fundraiser held July 14 at Minute Maid Park in Houston. BMI artist, songwriter and Texas native Kyle Park kicked off the event, performing to hospitality owners, operators and exhibitors from across the country, as well as foodies from the community. Impressively, Park has had seven #1 singles on the Texas Radio Report (TRR) and eleven singles on the Texas Music Chart’s Top 10. Currently on tour promoting his sixth studio album Don’t Forget Where You Come From, he has shared the stage with George Strait, Gary Allan, Mark Chestnutt, Clint Black and many more.

All proceeds from the “Lone Star Bash” benefited the Texas Restaurant Association Education Foundation and its high school culinary arts and hospitality program, Texas ProStart. This program is featured in more than 250 Texas high schools and reaches more than 25,000 students each year, who are the future workforce of the restaurant industry.
