Lamont Dozier to Lead USC Songwriting Seminar
The USC Thornton School of Music is presenting a Spring Songwriting Seminar and Workshop in Orange County with Chris Sampson, songwriting instructor at USC, and legendary BMI songwriter and USC Thornton artist-in-residence Lamont Dozier. The event is scheduled for May 3-4 at USC Orange County Center, 2300 Michelson Drive, Irvine, CA 92612.
The two-day event, scheduled to run 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., is designed to be informative, practical and inspirational, and is open to songwriters of all abilities and ages. Students will learn effective strategies for writing songs and immediately apply these techniques to their own work.
