Latin Spotlight: Young Miko
Young Miko is a singer, songwriter, and student from Añasco, Puerto Rico who draws inspiration from the sounds and beats of hip-hop, rock, and reggae. She has taken her distinctive sound on tour both locally and internationally and has taught herself how to play acoustic guitar while enrolled in Visual Arts courses at the University of Puerto Rico. Young Miko, who is also a tattoo artist, has so far released three songs this year: “105 Freestyle,” “Vendetta,” and “Katana.” She continues to work on new music, due out soon.
Young Miko es una cantautora y estudiante de Añasco, Puerto Rico que se inspira en los sonidos y ritmos de hip-hop, rock y reggae. Ha hecho giras locales e internacionales con su singular sonido, y aprendió sola a tocar la guitarra acústica mientras tomaba cursos de artes plásticas en la Universidad de Puerto Rico. Young Miko, que también es tatuadora, ha sacado tres canciones en lo que va del año: “105 Freestyle”, “Vendetta” y “Katana”. Sigue trabajando en música nueva que saldrá pronto.
