Miranda Lambert to Headline All-Star Lineup at BMI’s 2018 Maui Songwriters Festival
Special performance by the Pistol Annies; appearances by Luke Combs and Randy Houser.
The fourth annual Maui Songwriters Festival presented by BMI, happening November 29 - December 1, combines the lush landscapes and local flavor of Maui with the international acclaim of music’s best songwriters. Hosted by Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, this one-of-a-kind festival puts a spotlight on the art of songwriting with intimate sets from an all-star lineup. Country music superstar Miranda Lambert will be headlining the festival along with a special performance with her supergroup, the Pistol Annies. CMA Best New Artist nominee Luke Combs will also be performing. Tickets go on sale October 6 for all shows and can be purchased by visiting www.mauisongwritersfestival.com.
Other top songwriters featured over the three-day festival include country music hitmakers Dallas Davidson, Jon Randall, the Warren Brothers and Jessi Alexander. Returning for the second year in a row is Randy Houser, who will attend the festival directly following the release of his fifth studio album, Magnolia, out November 2. Hit singer/songwriter and Warner Brothers Recording artist Ashley Monroe will be performing solo as well as joining Angaleena Presley and Lambert as part of the Pistol Annies. Angaleena Presley will also treat the crowds to a solo set. Nine-time GRAMMY Award winner Ray Benson of Asleep At The Wheel, and local favorite Lily Meola round out the impressive lineup.

These concerts will fill Maui’s premiere venues including Fleetwood’s on Front St., Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, and the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. Many of these acoustic sets will feature Nashville’s signature “songwriters-in-the-round,” where in addition to performing, songwriters share the stories behind their hit songs.
Adding a philanthropic element to the Maui Songwriters Festival presented by BMI, a portion of the proceeds will once again benefit Dorvin and Betty Leis Charities, Inc., the Maui Arts & Cultural Center, and the BMI Foundation, dedicated to encouraging the creation, performance, and study of music through awards, scholarships, grants, and commissions.
In addition to being presented by BMI, the fourth annual Maui Songwriters Festival is supported by Goodfellow Family Foundation, HD Radio, SunTrust Bank, Texas Roadhouse and wine partner Daou Vineyards. Delta Air Lines is the official airline of the festival, with additional support provided by Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, which is offering special rates to attendees.
