Music City Songwriting Competition Call for Entries

Aspiring songwriters, Nashville wants to hear from you: The Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau is proud to present the fourth annual “Music City Songwriting Competition.” Open only to non-professional troubadours, the contest offers an enticing prize package: $1,000; roundtrip airfare for two to Music City courtesy of Southwest Airlines; a one-hour mentoring session with platinum-selling BMI singer/songwriter and Curb recording artist Rodney Atkins; interviews for GAC and Sirius-XM’s “Music Row Happy Hour with Storme Warren”; airplay on Sirius XM Radio’s monthly “Music City Connection: Heroes Behind the Hits,” recorded and produced by the Nashville CVB; a writing session with an established hit-maker; an Epiphone Masterbuilt acoustic guitar; a pair of Durango boots; and more.

Entries will be accepted until November 22, 2010. The fee for the first entry is $30, while each additional song carries a discounted entry fee of $25.
