The BMI-sponsored NYU Steinhardt crash-course advertising workshop, led by Soundcat Productions founder and BMI composer Eric Hachikian (Marco Polo, When We First Met), completed another successful round on July 2. Aimed at giving composers the tips they need to write creative, effective music under the relentless clock associated with producing ads, the three-day workshop featured presentations from top industry professionals such as Jay Wadley (Found Objects Music Productions), Keith D’Arcy (SONGS Music Publishing), and Karen Macmillan (Imagem / Concord Music).
