For the second year in a row, BMI teamed up with the California Restaurant Association for “Rock N’ Restaurants,” a night of entertainment in conjunction with the CRA Lobby Day on April 9 at the historic Crest Theatre in downtown Sacramento. CRA members and staff, as well as state legislators, were treated to a performance by ATO Recording Artist and BMI singer-songwriter Allen Stone. Stone entertained the crowd performing songs from his new album, such as “Say So,” “Contact High,” and “Celebrate Tonight.” The overall theme of the evening was showcasing the role music plays in the dining experience and why songwriters need to be paid when their music is performed in public.
