Posted in News on May 8, 2014

Congressman Theodore E. Deutch (D-FL) (@RepTedDeutch) has joined Congressman Hakeem Jeffries as a co-sponsor in support of H.R. 4079, the Songwriter Equity Act of 2014, which was introduced by the original sponsor, Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA) (@RepDougCollins), in February. Deutch, Jeffries, and Collins all serve on the House Judiciary Committee, which oversees intellectual property legislation. Deutch is co-Chair of the Congressional Songwriters Caucus and has long been a strong supporter of intellectual property rights. His support for examining these issues is welcome news.
