Songwriter Equity Act Gains Support From Florida Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz

Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL-23) (@DWStweets) has joined lead Democratic cosponsor Congressman Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY-8) (@RepJeffries) in supporting H.R. 1283, the Songwriter Equity Act of 2015. The bill, introduced in March by Congressman Doug Collins (R-GA-9) (@RepDougCollins), continues to gain momentum as it garners the support of Members of Congress from around the country. A former Member of the House Judiciary Committee, Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz sits on the House Committee on Appropriations where she serves as the Ranking Member on the Legislative Branch Subcommittee.
