Songwriter Equity Act of 2014 Continues to Pick Up Congressional Support

Posted in News on May 22, 2014

Congressman Diane Black (R-TN) (@RepDianeBlack) has signaled her support for H.R. 4079, the Songwriter Equity Act of 2014. Representing the 6th District of Tennessee, Black serves on the House Ways and Means Committee and is one of only three Committee members to serve as a liaison to the House Budget Committee. Her commitment to co-sponsor the SEA reflects the validity of the bill and the need to provide fair compensation for music creators. The SEA was originally introduced by Congressman Doug Collins (R-GA) (@RepDougCollins) in February and continues with this latest co-sponsorship to gain support across both party lines and diverse Congressional Committee members.
