Songwriter Harley Allen received congratulations from hundreds of Music Row colleagues during a party hosted by BMI and Atlantic Records to celebrate the #1 achievement of "The Little Girl," recorded by John Michael Montgomery. A powerful story with raw depictions of child abuse, drug addiction and domestic violence, "The Little Girl" has been a country radio sensation since its release; the debut single from Montgomery's eighth album, Brand New Me, it features Alison Krauss on background vocals. Buddy Cannon and Norro Wilson produced the song, which is published by Coburn Music, Inc.
