BMI headed to Tootsie’s on Broadway Tuesday afternoon to present BMI singer-songwriter Toby Keith with seven Million-Air awards, designated for songs that have hit million radio spin milestones. The songs awarded totaled 23 million radio plays: “God Love Her” with 2 million, “American Soldier” with 3 million, “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)” with 3 million, “You Shouldn’t Kiss Me Like This” with 3 million, “You Ain’t Much Fun” with 4 million, “Beer For My Horses” with 4 million and “How Do You Like Me Now?!” with 5 million. Toby is a three time BMI Country Songwriter of the Year, with Million-Air certificates for many tracks, including “I Love This Bar” and “Should Have Been A Cowboy.” Congratulations, Toby!
