BMI songwriter Jake Shimabukuro, a Hawaii native and ukulele sensation, recently treated the BMI Nashville office to an intimate performance, showing off his seemingly-limitless talent. Playing both original work and covers, including an incredible rendition of “While My Guitar Gently Weeps,” Shimabukuro captivated the audience. After his performance, he was presented with a custom-made ukulele from Bohemian Guitars, made out of a vintage Texaco gas can. Shimabukuro is currently on a world tour, hitting cities in the United States, Japan and the United Kingdom.
