Grammy Award Winner, Nominees, and Hitmakers Share Songwriting Secrets at BMI’s ‘How I Wrote That Song’

LOS ANGELES, February 9, 2013 – Global music rights leader Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) presented “How I Wrote That Song”, its annual pre-Grammy event, on February 9 at The Roxy in West Hollywood. The panel featured GRAMMY-nominated hip-hop icon Snoop Dogg, GRAMMY-nominated songwriter/artist B.o.B., GRAMMY-nominated hip-hop icon Busta Rhymes, GRAMMY-winning songwriter Evan Bogart, and hit songwriter Luke Laird.
The panel, moderated by Catherine Brewton, BMI Vice President, Writer/Publisher Relations, focused on the process of writing, producing and performing hit songs. Each panelist shared anecdotal stories on how their greatest hits were spawned, and attendees were also treated to impromptu performances, including “Don’t Let Me Fall” by B.o.B and “Take a Back Road” by Luke Laird.
