NEW YORK, June 10, 2013 – Broadcast Music Inc.® (BMI®), a global leader in music rights management, representing over 600,000 songwriters, composers and music publishers, is proud to present the performers on its 2013 Lollapalooza stage. Running August 2, 3 & 4 at Grant Park’s Hutchinson Field in Chicago, Ill., BMI’s stage will kick off performances at 12:00 p.m. each day, setting the pace at the behemoth music festival.
Festival-goers seeking rising stars and a bucolic respite from the Chicago heat flock to the BMI Lollapalooza stage, known for emitting soulful sounds, acoustic balladry and pop-rock rhapsodies from a variety of singer-songwriting acts. Performers on this year’s BMI stage range from the moody melodies of Brooke Waggoner to the swagger of Chicago native Chance The Rapper; the rock/folk collective The Mowgli’s; and the expressiveness of troubadours Half Moon Run. The lineup will provide a blend of sounds, reflecting Lollapalooza’s wide-ranging approach in offering attendees performances that are unique and remarkable.
“Once again, BMI is excited to be working with C3 Presents to showcase a slew of buzz-worthy singer-songwriters on its Lollapalooza stage,” said Charlie Feldman, BMI Vice President, Writer-Publisher Relations. “Our Lollapalooza stage, a superstar forecaster, has showcased performers such as Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, Neon Trees, Cage the Elephant and The Sheepdogs.
