BMI Brings Nashville Songwriters to Maine to Benefit Charity ‘Share Our Strength’

First Annual Maine Songwriter Series Slated for June 13-15

NEW YORK, NY—MAY 29, 2013 – Broadcast Music, Inc.® (BMI®), a global leader in music rights management, announces the sponsorship of the first annual Maine Songwriter Series presented in partnership with the Maine Restaurant Association (MRA), and the Maine Innkeepers Association (MIA). Portions of the proceeds will benefit the charity, Share Our Strength (Maine), a nonprofit group dedicated to ending childhood hunger. The concert series features BMI songwriters Dylan Altman and Jeff Cohen who have written hit songs for Jake Owen, Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw, The Band Perry, Big & Rich and others. The first show is scheduled to take place at the Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn Riverwatch on Thursday, June 13. The next performance will be on Friday, June 14, at the Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport, and the third and final performance will take place at the Ri Ra Irish Pub in Portland on Saturday, June 15. All shows begin at 7:30p.m. and tickets will be available on-site at the venues. Interviews with songwriters, Dylan Altman and Jeff Cohen will be featured on the television series, ‘Private Stage’ of WPXT-TV (The CW).
