Carlos Vives y los Compositores Mas Destacados Fueron Homenajeados en los Premios Latinos BMI
Roberto Tapia, Espinoza Paz y Sony/ATV Music Publishing Fueron Algunos de los Homenajeados en la Ceremonia en Las Vegas

Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), líder global de la administración de derechos de música, anunció anoche a los compositores y editoras de las canciones latinas más difundidas por la radio y televisión americana durante la 21a. entrega de Premios Latinos BMI celebrada en el hotel Bellagio de Las Vegas.
Ganador de un premio GRAMMY y de siete premios GRAMMY Latinos, la superestrella colombiana, cantante, compositor, y actor Carlos Vives recibió el Premio BMI Presidencial en reconocimiento por ser uno de los pioneros más influyentes y queridos de la música latina. Para celebrar, Vives ofreció a los asistentes una actuación acústica de varios de sus éxitos más destacados.
Roberto Tapia/Roberto Tapia Music fue homenajeado con el premio BMI Latino de la Canción del Año por su éxito regional mexicano “Mirando el Cielo.” Espinoza Paz fue galardonado con el premio BMI Latino de Compositor del Año por haber escrito cinco canciones que figuran dentro de las más difundidas del año incluyendo “Amor Express,” “Cabecita Dura,” “Necesita Un Hombre,” “Si Mañana No Me Ves” y “Te Mirabas Más Bonita.” Con su contribución de diecisiete canciones en la lista de los temas más difundidos del año, Sony/ATV Music Publishing ganó el premio BMI Latino de Editora del Año.
La 21a. entrega de Premios Latinos BMI fueron presentados por el Presidente de BMI Del Bryant y por Delia Orjuela, vicepresidente de Música Latina de BMI. BMI representa a los compositores latinos radicados en los Estados Unidos y en todo el mundo a través de acuerdos recíprocos con organizaciones hermanas de derechos de ejecución pública en los países de origen de los compositores.
