Steven Curtis Chapman will be the first Christian artist honored with BMI’s prestigious Icon Award. The annual invitation-only event will salute the songwriters and publishers of the past year’s most performed Christian rock, contemporary Christian, inspirational, southern and urban gospel songs on U.S. Christian radio.
Hosted by BMI’s President & CEO, Mike O’Neill, and BMI’s AVP of Creative-Nashville, Leslie Roberts, the ceremony will also recognize the BMI Christian Song, Songwriter and Publisher of the Year.
