BMI and longtime partner the Massachusetts Restaurant Association teamed up recently (3/4) to provide the musical entertainment at “The Toast,” the annual party that takes place after day one of the New England Food Show. BMI songwriter and Vermont native Jamie Lee Thurston entertained more than 200 restaurant owners and executives who were in Boston for the New England Food Show, a joint venture between the National Restaurant Association and the Massachusetts Restaurant Association that provides attendees with the opportunity to learn about the latest products, services and technology in the food service industry. Thurston is a Nashville-based country singer-songwriter who has penned hits for Rodney Atkins and Montgomery Gentry, and shared the stage with the likes of Brad Paisley, Travis Tritt, Charlie Daniels and the Dixie Chicks. He has strong ties to his home state of Vermont, where he has a very active and engaged fan base.

The MRA provides access, influence and protection to Massachusetts restaurant professionals providing them with the opportunity to lead thriving businesses.
