BMI Congratulates Gospel Great BeBe Winans on Latest No. 1
Legendary singer-songwriter BeBe Winans is once again dominating Billboard’s Gospel Airplay chart with his third No. 1, “In Jesus Name.” The chart-topping song is from his album, Need You, which hit No. 3 on the Top Gospel Albums chart. Winans’ success with “In Jesus Name” follows two other No.1 hits on the same chart: “Close to You,” a collaboration with his sister, CeCe Winans, and the song “He Promised Me,” featuring Tobbi and Tommi and introducing Kiandra. Impressively, the multiple Dove, Stellar and GRAMMY-winning Winans has long topped the Gospel charts, notably scoring at least one Top Gospel Albums No. 1 in each decade from the ’80s through the 2000s.
