BMI was excited to return to WonderCon, last weekend, to present “The Art of Music in Horror,” a panel featuring an ensemble of renowned BMI composers including Charlie Clouser (Saw), Bobby Krlic (Midsommar), Harry Manfredini (Friday the 13th) and Dara Taylor (The Invitation) to discuss the unique challenges and creative processes involved with scoring horror films and television. Introduced by BMI’s Director of Film, TV & Visual Media, Louie Stephens and moderated by White Bear PR’s Chandler Poling, the panel delved into how the right music can elevate the fright factor and play a central role in establishing tension, while shaping iconic scenes that haunt audience long after the credits roll.
