In the wake of this year’s Association of Performing Arts Presenters (APAP) Week, BMI held a Multicultural showcase on Thursday, January 21, bringing together a diverse group of singer/songwriters onto New York City’s Meridian 23 stage. The capacity crowd enjoyed a rich array of rhythms and flavors, from jazz to blues to Latin fusion and beyond. New York-based world music chanteuse Eleanor Dubinsky kicked off the evening, followed by a stylistically diverse set of songs by Argentina’s Natalia Clavier, and Latin GRAMMY nominee EliaCim, who treated the audience to his distinctively soulful Dominican pop. Versatile singer/songwriter/actress/producer Cristina Morrison closed out the multifaceted evening with a sultry jazz set.
