Indie Spotlight Decade Rewind: FLETCHER
FLETCHER first made a name for herself in the industry when she released the single, “War Paint,” a streaming hit in the summer of 2015 that became a viral sensation shared by millions of social media users. The New Jersey native followed that success with her 2016 debut EP, Finding Fletcher, which featured “War Paint” and the fan favorite, “Wasted Youth.” Over the next several years, she released songs like “You Should Talk,” “I Believe You” (released on International Women’s Day in support of the Time’s Up movement), and “Undrunk,” the latter of which landed on her 2019 EP, you ruined new york city for me. FLETCHER has opened for Bastille, performed at popular festivals like Lollapalooza, Life is Beautiful, Bonnaroo, and Capitol Congress, and scored a record deal with Capitol Records. Since first appearing in the Indie Spotlight in 2018, she has continued recording and releasing new music while connecting with fans via social media. Just this year, she has dropped the songs “Forever” and “Bitter” as well as the seven-track project, THE S(EX) TAPES.
