Jessa Gelt Welcomed to BMI as Associate Director, Writer-Publisher Relations

BMI is excited to announce that Jessa Gelt is joining the Company as Associate Director, Writer-Publisher Relations, based out of the Los Angeles office. She reports to Tracie Verlinde, BMI’s Senior Director, Writer-Publisher Relations.

Jessa is responsible for recruiting and developing indie/alternative and pop songwriters and producers. She will build and continue to foster relations with managers, music publishers and the A&R community while nurturing existing relationships with BMI writers. Jessa continues to exercise her seasoned event planning skills through the coordination of songwriter showcases, workshops and events—at both local and national scales—and assist BMI writers and publishers with wide-ranging administrative and creative functions.

Thriving off of a solid music industry background, Jessa joins the Company from EMI, where she worked as Executive Assistant, Creative/A&R by coordinating artist-songwriter relations and scouting new talent while playing an integral part of the EMI Music songwriter workshops and retreats. BMI is proud to welcome this smart, savvy professional to the team to continue providing a vital level of service to songwriters and music publishers.
