Namiko Mori Receives BMI/Jerry Goldsmith Film Scoring Scholarship
UCLA Extension student Namiko Mori is the recipient of this year’s BMI/Jerry Goldsmith Film Scoring Scholarship. Named after Oscar and Emmy-winning film and television composer Jerry Goldsmith, the scholarship is an annual award that partially underwrites the recipient’s study in UCLA Extension’s Film Scoring Program, a continuing education program designed to help composers develop the specialized skills and contacts needed to pursue a successful career in film scoring.
The announcement was made at Broadcast Music Inc.’s Los Angeles office by BMI Vice President Film/TV Relations Doreen Ringer-Ross along with Program Director UCLA Extension Entertainment Studies Pascale Cohen-Olivar and Program Manager UCLA Extension Entertainment Studies Kristen Kang.
