BMI Songwriters Dominate Music Row Awards – June 2009
The annual Music Row Awards presented by trade publication Music Row were handed out Tuesday, June 30 at a reception in Nashville, and BMI songwriters enjoyed big wins: Jamey Johnson received the Breakthrough Artist of the Year crown, James Otto walked away with the Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year trophy, and Johnson, Otto and fellow BMI collaborator Lee Thomas Miller received the Song of the Year honor for co-penning Johnson’s hit “In Color.” Pictured are Jamey Johnson, BMI’s Jody Williams, James Otto, Lee Thomas Miller, Music Row’s David Ross, and BMI’s Bradley Collins.
