September 29, 2009 Songwriting legend Jerry Chesnut recently received a BMI Million-Air certificate honoring the more than 4 million performances of his song, “T-R-O-U-B-L-E,” recorded by Elvis Presley and later by Travis Tritt. Chesnut also wrote signature songs and unvarnished classics for Jerry Lee Lewis (“Another Place, Another Time”), George Jones (“A Good Year for the Roses”), Del Reeves (“Looking at the World through a Windshield”), Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton (“Holding On to Nothin’”), and Faron Young (“Four in the Morning”), among many others.
