Bob DiPiero Racks Up 17 Million Performances

April 6, 2010 BMI’s Jody Williams recently delighted lyrical craftsman Bob DiPiero with a surprise presentation during the March 25 installment of the CMA Songwriters Series at Joe’s Pub. DiPiero, who also performed on the bill, received awards for a jaw-dropping 17 million performances of his country radio staples, including included “American Made,” “Cowboys Like Us,” “Daddy’s Money,” “Gone,” “Mirror Mirror,” “Sentimental Ol’ You,” “She Don’t Tell Me To,” Wink,” and “If You Ever Stopped Loving Me.” All together, DiPiero has written 14 chart-toppers, including Tim McGraw’s most recent, “Southern Voice.”
